My Story
For nearly 25 years I have worked as a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist (RDN), medical nutrition therapist and the founder of WestSide Nutrition and Wellness, a nutrition counseling practice on the Upper West Side. I received an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis and continued my education at New York University, earning a Masters Degree in Clinical Nutrition. Part of my training to become an RDN required me to complete a 900 hour dietetic internship in affiliation with NYU Langone Medical Center.
My interest in holistic health, nutrition and wellness dates back in the 1980’s, where my education and training started at the Natural Gourmet Cookery School and the Institute for Food Healing in New York City. Over the years I received additional training through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, Institute for Functional Medicine, Institute for Functional Nutrition, among other world renowned training centers.
In addition to private practice, I have served as the staff dietitian/nutritionist at Barnard College as well as Columbia University.
Prior to working in the field of nutrition and wellness, I worked with Oxford Health Plans and other Fortune 500 companies in the area of Marketing Communications.
